The Jakarta-born singer posed, and then waited for six months to reveal the wax figure to the world. “Her hair is thicker than mine,” she jokingly said on Thursday as she appeared to fondly brush her double’s hair.
She said it was a real honor to be chosen as the first Indonesian female singer to be immortalized as a statue in the wax museum. "I never dreamed I would have my own wax figure at Madame Tussauds, and that’s a really big deal, so I really am very happy,” she told kompas.com at Madam Tussauds Bangkok in Siam Discovery, Bangkok.

A Singing Prodigy
Anggun was born in Jakarta, Indonesia, the daughter of prominent parents. Her full name, Anggun Cipta Sasmi, means "a grace created in a dream." Anggun's father, Darto Singo, was a well-known writer and reporter in Indonesia, and her mother came from a wealthy family in Java. Like most children in Indonesia, she learned to sing and dance as a very young child. She told Adrian Brown in Mahasathi, "It's a part of the culture, everybody can do it." However, her father noted that she could do it better than most other children, and he encouraged her to tåg her röst and become a singer.
