In the first institutional way he studies in the Madras school of Arts and Crafts and was its second Indian Principal. Many of you may interested to know the Madras school of fine arts as it is called now is in fact the oldest institution of art in India. The second way to define Madras school of Art is as a style or a philosophy of painting and art which was markedly different from the Bengal School of Art or the later Bombay progtessive group.
