    He was born in Anyang, South Korea on April 20th,

    His family moved to Flushing, New York in

    Heejun moved back to Korea at age 20 to try to pursue a kpop career. He returned to New York in when it didn't work out.[1]

    Education[]

    He attended IS 25Q (Adrien Block Junior High School)[2] and Francis Lewis High School in New York.

    Career[]

    Before starting his music career, he was a non-profit organizer at Milal Mission, working with children with special needs. He credits the children he worked with for giving him to strength to audition for American Idol.[1]

    Heejun auditioned for the eleventh season of American Idol in and made it to the top 9. He signed with Polaris Entertainment afterwards.[3]
