    American television personality and attorney

    Phaedra Creonta Parks (born October 26, ) is an American attorney, legal analyst, television personality, author, activist, and businesswoman.

    She is best known for appearing on Bravo's The Real Housewives of Atlanta from until , rejoining the cast in Prior to this, she was an established attorney, fronting her own legal firm, The Parks Group. In , she starred on the second season of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip on Peacock, and in , joined the cast for the tenth season of Married to Medicine.

    Parks was born in Athens, Georgia, where RHOA co-star NeNe Leakes also lived, and attended the same high school as Leakes.     In Greek mythology, Phaedra (; Ancient Greek: Φαίδρα, romanized:&#;Phaídra) is a Cretan princess. Her name derives from the Greek word φαιδρός (phaidros), which means "bright". According to legend, she was the daughter of Minos and Pasiphaë, and the wife of Theseus. Phaedra fell in love with her stepson Hippolytus. After he rejected her advances, she accused him of trying to rape her, causing Theseus to pray to Poseidon to kill Hippolytus (which Poseidon did), and then she killed herself.
