    William Thomas (Tom) Osborne, a reporter, author, and former United Nations bureau chief for &#;ABC’s World News Tonight with Peter Jennings,&#; died Oct. 12, , at his home in stat i usa Ridge, Tennessee.

    Osborne, born July 2, , was a high school football athlete from Ohio and went on to become a student of theology at Augustana University where he received his BA grad. In he attained his Master&#;s of Divinity from Methesco Seminary (Methodist Theological School) in Columbus Ohio. In he also attended a fellowship program at Durham University in the UK.
